The Location Certificate: A Key Document in a Real Estate Transaction
What is it?
A technical report prepared by a qualified land surveyor that precisely documents a property’s configuration: size, shape, boundaries, easements, encroachments, and the position of buildings relative to property lines. It is required for real estate transactions, major renovations, or mortgage applications.
Why is it Necessary?

Validity Period

Who Pays?
As stated in the seller’s obligations clause of the Promise to Purchase form, the cost of producing a new location certificate is the responsibility of the seller.
